PAGEANT INFORMATION

COMPETITION OFFERED, EXPLANATION OF EVENTS, SCORING PROCESS AND RULES.

THERE ARE NO EVENING GOWN OR PHOTOS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NEW STYLE PAGEANT.

THIS PAGEANT IS NOT NATURAL, NEVER GLITZ BUT AN AGE APPROPRIATE PAGEANT.

MAKE-UP RULES 0-11

NO make-up for this age breakdown clear lip gloss is all you need. Contestant risk point deduction if they do not follow the rules.

All age division may wear any hairstyle of choice example: falls, weaves, wiglets etc.

MAKE-UP RULES: 12- UP

MAY WEAR LIGHT- MEDIUM FOR A BEAUTIFUL POLISHED LOOK. It is not necessary to apply heavy make-up for this pageant. This is NOT a Glitz pageant, you do not need excessive make-up or big hair to win at MERP we are looking for confidence, personality and contestants having fun. 

We want our competing contestants to show their personality, keep it real and be themselves.

FASHION RUNWAY MODEL COMPETITION- (all ages) 1-10 of total score Time limit 1 minute

Contestant will wear a unique and fun fashionable off the rack outfit. Your outfit can be anything you wish it to be for example: fun dress, top and skirt, jacket etc. (NO blue jeans, western wear, swim suit, glitz outfit or sports outfit)

Modeling should be simple and show off your personality think project runway or a fashion show(NO pro-am routines allowed) POINTS will be deducted if you do not follow criteria.

"You may use Props such as glasses, jacket, hats, and scarves.(no other items allowed)"

WHAT ARE YOU JUDGED ON?
Judges are looking for Overall stage presentation, personality, model ability for age and appearance.

"STAGE SET UP TO FOLLOW":
Stand T-Stage- This means you will follow guidelines by starting at first x go to the middle x

walk down the runway to the front X stop pose and walk back to the back to the middle x then off the stage.

SWIM SUIT MODEL COMPETITION- (all ages) 1-10 of total score Time limit 1 minute

Contestants may wear a one or two piece swim suit of their choice, print or solid contestants may wear cover-ups if they wish. Must wear shoes, flip flops, sandals etc.

WHAT ARE YOU JUDGED ON?
Judges are looking for Overall stage presentation, choice of swim suit, poise, posture and execution of movement.
Disregarding the contestant's size and proportions.

CASUAL WEAR RUNWAY MODEL COMPETITION (all age) 1-10 of total score Time limit 1 minute
Outfit can be simple and fun (No pro-am routine allowed or glitz) Be creative and show off your outfit.

WHAT ARE YOU JUDGED ON?

Contestant will be judged on overall first impression, stage presentation, appearance and personality.

FITNESS MODEL COMPETITION- (all ages) 1-10 of total score Time limit 1 minute
Contestants may wear any outfit you would use to stay fit for example: aerobic wear, tennis wear, etc.

WHAT ARE YOU JUDGED ON?
Contestants will be judged on overall first impression, fitness, appearance and personality.

FABULOUS IN DENIM MODEL COMPETITION- (all ages) 1-10 of total score Time limit 1 minute
For this event let your creativity shine, think outside the box, express your sense of style.
Contestants must wear an outfit made of denim fabric this could be a dress, jacket/  pants, shorts(age appropriate) capri etc,
WHAT ARE YOU JUDGED ON?

Contestant will be judged on overall first impression, appearance, personality and creativity.

HOPE THIS NEW CHANGE WILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NEW STYLE OF MERP PAGEANTS NOTHING BORING, NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE GOWN, JUST REGISTER AND ROCK THE RUNWAY TO FANTASTIC UPBEAT MUSIC!!!.
